Executive Assistant to the MD/CEO, FMCG Company

Job Summary:

  • The Executive Assistant to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) plays a key role in providing comprehensive administrative and executive support to the MD/CEO.
  • This involves acting as the primary point of contact between the MD/CEO and internal/external stakeholders, managing the MD/CEO’s schedule, and ensuring effective communication and documentation.
  • The Executive Assistant will also represent the MD/CEO at corporate and government functions and prepare thought leadership content and presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact between the MD/CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Screen and direct phone calls, requests, etc. and distribute correspondence, as appropriate.
  • Manage the MD/CEO’s diary and email, highlighting correspondence that requires urgent attention.
  • Keep and maintain accurate records and documentation of correspondences (print and electronic) on behalf of the MD/CEO.
  • Carry out research, market intelligence and business analysis on behalf of the MD/CEO, as may be necessary.
  • Represent the MD/CEO at various corporate and government functions as may be required.
  • Engage with the Senior Management Team and represent the MD/CEO at Management meetings as may be necessary.
  • Prepare relevant thought leadership write ups and presentations on behalf of the MD/CEO, etc.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • First degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role with top level executives.
  • Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, organizational, communication and schedule management skills.
