Electrician / Maintenance Officer
Job Description
- The Job role entails that the Successful Candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in the operation and Maintenance of various electrical equipment and machines in the Hatchery such as VET 7, EMKA, and Components of the Chilling Machine.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime. They also identify potential issues and perform corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance of Machines and diagnostic process of incubators.
- Maintenance of the hatchery cooling and chilling System.
- Supervising and Managing of Industrial generator e.g 500 kva
- Install and maintain electrical components such as switches, circuits, and motors
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize equipment downtime
- Follow established safety procedures and regulations at all times
- Assist in forecasting requirements, creating a budget and scheduling expenses for the electrical department
- Keep record of all stock and supplies, including company’s electrical equipment
- Working in collaboration with the production team to formulate the best cost-effective manufacturing process
- Perform energy audit and recommend alternative sources of energy
- Help the organization to reduce energy costs
- Ensure that all electrical gadgets and instruments are switched off after close of work daily
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND / OND in Electrical Electronics.
- Electrical Certifications required
- 3-7 years work experience as a Shift Electrician in an Hatchery or FMCG company is a MUST
- Knowledge of heavy industry electrics.
- Have mechanical skills
- Prior experience in Electrical / Mechanical breakdowns.
- Competent in Microsoft Office packages and Outlook.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to multitask and deal with situations
- Attention to details
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Must be ready to resume at a short notice.
