Job Summary:
- The Electrician at Schemes Interior Ltd will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within the factory.
- This role requires a deep understanding of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in accordance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches, to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and diagnose problems using testing devices, such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging cameras.
- Repair or replace defective parts, wiring, or equipment, and perform necessary adjustments to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineering staff to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance routines on electrical systems and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment inspections for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical systems and equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with electrical standards and specifications.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical technology, codes, and regulations through training and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
- Valid electrician license or certification as per local regulations.
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, instructions, and specifications related to electrical systems and equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical issues effectively.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical systems and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
