Electrical Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:
- conducting installation and commissioning activities in line with the work scope;
- performing all assigned jobs according to the technical and work instructions supplied;
- managing the repair of all electrical installations, maintenance of all electrical panels/machines/discharge equipment and ensuring that all the daily maintenance targets are met;
- keeping equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions, IEE regulations and established procedures;
- troubleshooting, diagnosing and rectifying system faults within available timescales;
- managing the design and execution of electrical projects in line with given specifications and time schedule;
- generating method statements and risk assessments pertaining to the development of the work scope;
- ensuring that all job documentation is provided on a clear and timely basis;
- maintaining best practices and adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, both on-site and within a workshop environment;
- ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with company Quality Management system and customer specifications or contracts; and
- coordinating of electrical/instrumentation maintenance activities towards achieving optimum overall plant operational efficiency.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A good degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related fields from a reputable institution.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of cognate experience in the manufacturing industry.
- A proven practical track record in a similar service or automation engineering role.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
- Proven leadership skills
- Result oriented and strong organisational skills.
- Working knowledge of Instrumentation communication.
