Job Description
- As the Corporate Finance Manager, your responsibilities will encompass setting strategic objectives, evaluating market assessments, advising on business/investment opportunities, and steering the capital allocation strategy.
Your major role
- You act as the primary contact for budget and financial inquiries while maintaining the functionality of corporate models.
Keys for Success
- Evaluation Key: Evaluate, define, and prepare market assessments and pricing analyses for power and gas sales.
- Appraisal Key: Conduct appraisals on potential business/investment opportunities and provide strategic advice.
- Support Key: Own and support the capital allocation strategy and review process.
- Maintenance Key: Maintain and update consolidated corporate models, including strategic/business plans and forecasts.
- Investment Key: Prepare investor relations documents, including board presentations.
- Support Key: Provide financial integration and capitalization support, offering insights on M&A activities.
- Budgeting Key: Assist in understanding variances to budget and act as the primary point of contact for budget inquiries.
- Research Key: Conduct research on industry trends, pricing, and comparable indicators, advising Management accordingly.
Your financial impact:
- Taking charge of business case reviews, information memoranda, strategic plans, financial models, and capital budget-specific roles, plays a pivotal part in the company’s financial and strategic success.
On navigating financial management challenges:
- You are to strategically manage finances, ensuring sustainable and affordable energy access while addressing the financial intricacies of such communities.
Your career milestones
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Master’s degree and/or professional certification in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ post NYSC professional experience in financial analysis and reporting; consulting experience is advantageous.
- Expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions, Debt and Equity Instruments, Deal Structuring, Corporate and Capital Budgeting, Investment Appraisals, Investment Management, Strategic and Business Planning, IFRS Reporting Standards, Financial Statement Analysis, and Financial Modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of the Power/Energy industry.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, able to work with people at various levels.
