Compliance Officer
Responsibilities
- Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Communicate policies to employees and provide training to ensure understanding and adherence
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the industry.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the organization.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of potential compliance vulnerability.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) is a plus.
- 5 – 7 years proven experience in compliance
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
