- Ensure the company complies with all relevant local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of company practices to identify and rectify any legal compliance issues.
- Identify potential legal risks associated with business activities and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Advise on appropriate insurance coverage and risk management practices to protect the companys assets.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence
- Ensure that the company adheres to corporate governance standards and practices.
- Draft and review employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and non-compete agreements, and handle employment disputes.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including managing external counsel when necessary.
- Handle internal and external communications, including emails, calls, and official correspondence
- Negotiate settlements and handle mediation or arbitration processes to resolve disputes without litigation.
- Advice on the protection of intellectual property (IP) rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Ensure that the company obtains and maintains necessary licenses and permits.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to provide well-informed advice to management and other stakeholders.
- Manage legal aspects of public relations and communications, including media inquiries and press releases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Law, or related field; paralegal or legal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience
- Proven experience as legal advisor or similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in legal research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software
