Business Development Officer
Job Description
- Develop Company target market – identify and document qualifying sectors and criteria for customer selection within the sector
- Research and compile a list of all organizations that form BU Power’s target customers within the geographical zone
- Identify new clients and open a new business relationship with them
- Present a portfolio of pipeline projects at the beginning and end of every business cycle
- Convert relationships to projects from a portfolio of pipeline projects
- Provide honest feedback on customers’ perception of the company’s services
- Prepare, analyze and update intelligence reports on competition, market trends, pricing and sales strategies
- Develop new market ideas
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders within the business market
- Developing a database of clients (prospective customers, new and past customers)
- Prepare monthly sales and performance reports and use the report in creating a sales forecast
- Translating proposals into ready-to-sign contracts
- Owning the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation.
- Participate in technical/commercial tender submissions, pre-bid stage activities, pre-bid qualification, and responding to all relevant bids and tenders and budget offers where required.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
- Candidates should possess 2 -5 years of cognate experience.
- Candidates should have experience in generating sales for an Independent Power Plant.
