This role is crucial in driving growth and expanding our presence in the oil and gas sector across the region.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to identify new opportunities in the oil and gas market
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business decisions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the energy sector
- Lead complex negotiations and close high-value deals with oil and gas companies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction
- Create and present compelling business proposals and financial models to potential clients
- Monitor industry regulations and market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business development within the oil and gas industry
- Proven track record of successful deal closures and revenue generation in the energy sector
- In-depth knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations
- Strong understanding of energy market trends and regulations
- Excellent skills in business development strategies, market analysis, and client relationship management
- Exceptional negotiation and project management abilities
- Proficiency in financial modeling and CRM software
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria and internationally as required
