Boiler Operator
Role Description
- This is a full-time role located in Rano as an on-site Boiler Operator, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the farm’s boilers, including maintaining appropriate fuel and water levels, monitoring equipment, and regulatory compliance.
- The Boiler Operator will also conduct various tests and perform routine maintenance as instructed and report any issues as needed.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Higher National Diploma (HND) or OND in Engineering with a minimum of Second Class Lower or Upper Credit respectively.
- 0-3 years’ experience operating machinery or as a boiler operator in a manufacturing setting in the food and Agri processing industry
- Experience operating milling machines
- Good working Knowledge of operating rice parboiling and milling machines
- Intermediate understanding of technical troubleshooting of Industrial machine
- Previous experience working in industrial environments such as factories, power plants, rice mills, and warehouses.
- Proven experience using personal safety equipment in a manufacturing or processing environment
- Boiler operations and maintenance
- Familiarity with boiler operating procedures
- Development of safety manuals, operation guides, policies, and procedures
- Other requirements, abilities for the position:
- Ability to work minimally with little supervision
- Problem-solving and critical analysis
- Thorough understanding of gauges, dials, valves, and other parts of the boiler equipment.
- Ability to solve technical problems.
- Understanding of machine and system repair needs.
- Excellent communication (written and oral),
- Interpersonal skills,
- High sense of responsibility, accountability, and dependability,
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently,
