Alumni & Placement Manager

Job Purpose

  • To significantly increase engagement with the School’s alumni in order to build the Academy’s global profile and reputation, boost student placement and support student employability.

Responsibilities

Alumni Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni through events, networking opportunities, and communication channels.
  • Maintain a strong and active alumni network, fostering a sense of community and support.

Placement Program Management:

  • Design and manage placement programs to connect students with relevant job opportunities.
  • Collaborate with employers to understand their hiring needs and expectations.

Career Counselling:

  • Provide career guidance and counselling services to students, helping them identify their strengths, interests, and career goals.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars on resume building, interview skills, and job search strategies.

Employer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners, and recruitment agencies.
  • Act as a liaison between the institution and potential employers to facilitate recruitment processes.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of alumni and placement activities.
  • Generate reports on placement outcomes and alumni engagement metrics.

Professional Development Programs:

  • Collaborate with academic departments to integrate professional development programs into the curriculum.
  • Coordinate workshops, seminars, and networking events to enhance students’ employability skills.

Internship Coordination:

  • Work with businesses to create internship opportunities for students.
  • Ensure a smooth process for students to secure and complete internships.

Alumni Database Management:

  • Maintain an updated database of alumni profiles, including their career trajectories, achievements, and contact information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Counselling, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in career services, alumni relations, or placement management.
  • Familiarity with educational and industry trends related to employment and career development.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical skills for data tracking and reporting.
  • Knowledge of career development theories and counselling techniques.
