Accountant
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Collaborate with management to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns, and adhere to tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Conduct financial analysis and present findings to management, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (professional certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in the use of accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Candidate is expected to be residing in lekki, ajah or in its environs.
