Account Officer
Job Summary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Prepare regular financial reports for management, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, prepare and submit tax returns, and coordinate with external tax professionals as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Stay informed about financial regulations and reporting requirements relevant to the Forex industry, and ensure the company’s compliance with such regulations.
- Analyze costs and expenses to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Oversee payroll processing, including accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, identify trends, and provide insights into the financial performance of the firm.
- Manage the company’s cash flow, monitor liquidity, and optimize cash positions.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Analyze and explain variances between budgeted and actual financial results, investigating discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.
- Provide financial advice to management, assisting in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance, operations, and IT, to ensure financial information is accurate and aligned with business activities.
- Work with IT professionals to integrate financial systems and ensure the seamless flow of financial data.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and implement changes as necessary.
- Manage relationships with external financial service providers, auditors, and tax consultants.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an accountant in a warehouse or accounting department
- Good Knowledge of ERP and Tally
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration across departments.
- Experience in implementing process improvements related to cost accounting.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance specific to manufacturing entities
