Job role

• Product Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies aligned with the company’s vision and mission.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats.
• Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, including defining requirements, prioritizing features, and managing timelines.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Own the entire product lifecycle, including roadmap planning, feature enhancements, and sunsetting strategies.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Technology, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
• Client Engagement: Engage with clients to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product hypotheses to drive continuous improvement.
• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with product development, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track product performance and make data-driven decisions.
• Team Leadership: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior product team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field; CISI, CFI or CFA enrollment, MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years in product management roles within the financial services industry, preferably in asset management or wealth management.
• Deep understanding of savings and investment products, financial markets, and regulatory landscape in Africa.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong customer-centric mindset.
