Continuous I Improvement Specialist
About the Role:
As a Continuous Improvement Specialist at Aquantuo, you will be responsible for driving performance, process development and optimization. You will use your expertise in Lean, Six Sigma and related principles, methodologies, and tools to evaluate, plan, schedule, implement, and sustain continuous improvement activities and initiatives within the organization. You will work closely with the operations team and leadership to build and maintain a continuous improvement culture and achieve company performance goals in excellence, safety, quality, service reliability, organizational engagement, and departmental operating income.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deploy the Continuous Improvement capabilities of the organization across several business units.
- Design, execute and effectively lead significant projects that align with the strategic transformation plan at all levels of the organization.
- Mentor, guide, and support team members to achieve tasks.
- Evaluate and prioritize potential improvements based on gains and required effort.
- Securing employee commitment for proactive change management.
- Independently facilitate and support cross-functional Kaizens, continuous improvement projects, and structure problem-solving activities that are working to eliminate waste in work processes.
- Establishing a clear and well-articulated implementation plan.
- Appropriately implementing principles of governance.
- Resolving technical problems such as formulation, equipment, service, interpretation of regulations, and resource availability.
- Identifying intervention priorities and indicators.
- Conducting detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issues.
- Drive company wide or department specific projects as the designated project manager
- Specifying deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance-measured indicators.
- Identifying available resources (for example, people and finances).
- Mapping out in detail the desired situation.
- Clearly defining methodology.
- Accurately analyzing options including impact and feasibility.
- Specifying obstacles and ways to overcome them through continuous improvement.
- Regularly monitoring the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Proficient in utilizing problem-solving tools and techniques with a strong grasp of their application.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in Lean methodologies such as 5S, Kanban, Direct Observation, Daily and Visual Management.
- Comprehensive understanding of Continuous Improvement principles and Lean approaches.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient in planning, preparing, executing, and supporting Kaizen events from start to finish.
- Skilled in problem definition, data collection and analysis, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Demonstrate creative thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with teams to identify and develop Continuous Improvement opportunities, fostering effective relationships across the organization.
- Capable of facilitating meetings with diverse teams across different locations and functions.
- Highly adaptable and flexible, maintaining a positive and can-do attitude.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including advanced skills with Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work in high paced and changing environments
