Job Description
- Coordinate and participate in QHSE training programs
- Coordinate and participate in OHSE audit and inspection programs
- Monitor toolbox talks
- Periodically schedule and attend monthly safety meetings and ensure follow up of items and concerns.
- Manage the implementation of the QMS
- Carry out daily reviews of current work practices on all locations
- Monitor the performance of OHSE team and provide any expertise support as required
- Identify and control work place hazards
- Initiate and coordinate the investigation team in establishing the root cause of any incident, as necessary, to ensure that corrective and preventive actions have been established and implemented
- Ensure safe systems of work are in place and ensure legal requirements for health and safety in Nigeria is maintained in the workplace
- Investigate and respond proactively to health and safety concerns and incidents ensuring that recommendations are made and implemented following such investigations
- Prepare, share and follow op on incident/accidents alerts and reports
Educational and Experience Requirements
- B.Sc / HND from a recognised University with a minimum of 2.1 or Upper Credit in related field
- 4-6 years of practical experiences with OHSE and OMS implementation
- Industry standard Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
