Job Description

This job role optimizes Energy performance within IBEDC’s network through technical assessment and data analysis.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; or a postgraduate qualification in power systems engineering or management fields is an added advantage.
• At least 2+ years’ experience in the utility industry across areas of operations, maintenance, planning, etc

Job Responsibility

1. Maintains databases of system loads.
2. Develops and supports the Energy Management data review process
3. Monitors real-time load allocation on the System Operator portal for load confirmation and execution.
4. Establish an improved data recording, collection, and analysis system to keep track of energy consumption. 
5. Collation of corrected NEMSA observed defects on Distribution Networks.
6. Compilation and submission of NERC Network Data Report, TEM report, and Grid Allocation Report.
7. Prepares load forecasts for energy Demand and Consumption and carries out comparative load analysis
8. Provides information on actual power consumption on feeders to support project planning and design.
9. Carries out fault analysis on 132, 33 & 11KV feeders in order to determine the revenue loss occasioned by the interruption.
10. Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
11. Perform any other duty as may be directed by the Head, Network Operations.
