China Business Associate
Job Description
- The China Business Associate is responsible for attracting Chinese investment to Rendeavour cities, with a focus on Nigeria and Ghana.
Responsibilities
Include:
- Business development to raise Rendeavour’s profile through meetings and other interaction with relevant Chinese companies.
- Organising and attending roadshows in China to pitch investments in Africa.
- Establishing mutually beneficial relationships (MOUs) with Chinese national and provincial business associations and chambers of commerce.
- Representing Rendeavour at relevant conferences and events to source for leads.
- Formulating and executing China business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Obtaining and building databases of Chinese companies to target and recording interaction with them in the company CRM.
- Signing up and managing sales agents in China and Africa.
Requirements
Hard skills and experience:
- Candidates should possess Bachelor’s Degrees with 5 – 12 years relevant work experience.
- Native Chinese speaker with at least three years’ experience living and working in Africa.
- Thorough knowledge of Chinese investment and business landscape in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Experience in transaction and client relationship management.
Soft skills:
- Mature, pragmatic and flexible approach, strong commercial judgment.
- Team player but comfortable working autonomously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
