Brief Job Overview 

• We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and oversee the quality of the Agro commodities procured across different regions and markets.
• The responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Specialist will include developing quality standards, interpreting quality requirements, conducting sample tests, and identifying issues with quality level of our products.
• Ultimately, you will work with a team to ensure our final Agro products meet our international standards across the board.

Responsibilities

The ideal Candidate will (but not limited to):

• Plan, execute, and oversee product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to contract specifications and deliverables.
• Preparing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures
• Performing routine inspections and quality tests
• Test all Agro commodities at the stage of procurement and before delivery to ascertain standard quality demands of the company.
• Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
• Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors.
• Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports.
• Make recommendations for improvement.
• Calibration of analysis machine
• Create training materials and operating manuals.
• Assist operations by tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as CSR, environmental, and health and safety KPIs.
• Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Develop or update procedures for capture, investigation, and documentation of Agro product complaints.
• Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to managers and product developers.
• Provide training and support to quality assurance team members that covers systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
• Other duties as maybe assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
• Minimum of 4 years work experience as Quality Assurance officer in the industry or similar role.
• Understanding of Quality Assurance in Agro products
• Fluency in more than one language (Preferably English and Hausa)

Required Competence:

• Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist or similar role
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance
• Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent data collection and analysis skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Assurance Specialist
• Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
