Loan Officer
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with clients to discuss their financial goals and assess their loan needs.
- Collect and analyze financial information, credit reports, and other relevant documents for loan applications.
- Evaluate applicants’ creditworthiness, considering factors such as income, employment history, and debt levels.
- Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies throughout the loan approval process.
- Effectively communicate with clients, providing clear explanations of loan terms, conditions, and any required adjustments.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to reach mutually agreeable loan agreements.
- Stay informed about market trends, interest rates, and lending products to offer competitive and relevant services.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- BSC/HND in any related field from recognized institution.
- 1-2 years experience as a loan officer
- experience in banking, lending, or a related financial field
- Risk management understanding
- Problem solving skills
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements related to lending.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
