Job description: Job Description:Our Client, a non-governmental organization, is seeking an experienced Head of Media with overall strategic management of the organization’s media, overseeing all aspects of the audio-visual setup across all campuses. This includes planning, coordinating, and supervising to ensure that projects and ongoing support are completed efficiently and meet the company’s standards for quality and creativity. In this role, the Head of Media is expected to be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the technicalities required in an excellent media setup production who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about leading creative teams to produce exceptional content.Leadership, Administration, and Management

  • Build, lead, motivate, and manage the production team(Production, Post Production, Sound, Equipment, Multimedia, Service Production) fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, positioning and grooming them based on their areas of strength and ministry needs for the next level of responsibility and growth.
  • Provide leadership to all team members – paid as well as the volunteer staff of the organization, ensuring a harmonious, mutually beneficial working relationship.
  • Maintain a helicopter view of the financial, legal, administrative, technological, and artistic aspects of all audio-visual production by The Organisation.
  • Ensure production and other processes are adhered to, by the team to ensure a smooth running of the administrative/documentation of work is completed in record time.
  • Establish and implement departmental systems and protocols for event planning and management.

Strategic Planning

  • Work closely with other departments to align production strategies with overall business objectives. Participate in strategic planning sessions to discuss future projects and initiatives and lead department solutions to support them.

Special and standard Project Management

  • Responsible for the formal launch and operations of the Organisation’s broadcast media projects, such as the foundation’s Radio, Seed Squad Channel, and the organization’s TV.
  • Harness all resources to ensure end-to-end delivery required for all production projects, including events, conferences, and outreaches.
  • Partnerships and Sponsorships: Build and maintain relationships with advertisers, partners, and sponsors. Develop innovative sponsorship opportunities to drive revenue growth.

Budget and Timeline Management:

  • Develop and manage production budgets and schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial borders.
  • Work with the production team to ensure judicious adherence to agreed budgets.

Service and Event Production

  • Oversee the production of every event of the organization in terms of the end-to-end creative elements, including but not limited to sound, lighting, videos, worship, ambiance, etc.

Broadcast Production

  • Effectively manage all organization’s broadcast channels
  • Leads the team to ensure the preparation of high-quality broadcasts in required formats for all platforms including TV stations, online platforms, websites, etc.
  • Ensure the post-production receives the transfer of files, edits, renders, and encodes all organization’s services and content as well as any program as directed or required, and ensures content deployment for use across social media and other platforms.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external broadcast stakeholders including media partners, TV stations, online stations, etc.
  • Actively find new broadcast business & outlets for the Organisation
  • Evolve innovative content for TV, online broadcast/Youtube.

Content/CommunicationProduction

  • Work with the head of Communications to ideate, script, and produce communications, announcements, and promotional videos that align with project themes, directions, or ministry goals.
  • Ensure brand messaging and visual alignment across themes at all times working with the head of communications.
  • Ensure alignment with communications on all content – drama, series, and podcasts produced from the stables of The Organisation
  • Support the lead pastors’ communications in the same vein. Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain high production standards by implementing quality control processes, reviewing project deliverables, and ensuring alignment with the ministry goals and standards.

Vendor and PartnerRelations

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, negotiate transactions and contracts, and ensure that all parties

meet their contractual obligations.

  • Partner with the procurement department to achieve the best value – quality and price – in the purchase of relevant equipment and Innovation and Creativity
  • Encourage the development of new ideas and methods to enhance the production process and output. Stay informed about the industry.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a first degree in any course. A second degree is advantageous.
  • At least a relevant and verifiable video production certification.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in production, especially in broadcast mgt, event production, production mgt and direction.
  • Expert knowledge in Broadcast and event Production Production Mgt, with verifiable experience working with reputable organizations and events.
