As Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for handling the financial operations and strategic financial planning for our Nigerian e-commerce business. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and compliance responsibilities, as well as ensuring solid financial management practices and assisting with corporate growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic insights and financial recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and business planning.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and treasury operations to optimize cash utilization and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Monitor cash flow performance and implement strategies to mitigate cash flow risks.
- Develop financial models and scenarios to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct financial analysis and sensitivity analysis to assess the potential impact of various business decisions on financial outcomes.
- Identify and assess financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, and develop strategies to mitigate risk exposure.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to financial risk management.
- Serve as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) is preferred.
- Proven experience in finance management roles, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to e-commerce businesses in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive asset financing strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives and financial targets.
- Identify opportunities to support the acquisition of key assets.
- Conduct financial analysis and feasibility studies.
- Develop financial models to optimize the cost of capital and return on investment.
- Build and maintain relationships with financial partners, negotiate favorable financing terms, and structure and execute financing deals.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and legal documentation.
- Assess and mitigate the financial risks associated with asset financing.
Qualifications and skills:
