Pet Blow Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of the production line blowing, filling and capping three-in-one equipment, and cooperate with electrical engineer to ensure the OEE of the production line.
  • Responsible for setting up one or more machines, observes their operation and ensures the manufactured products meet specifications
  • Start up and shut down of equipment before or after designated shut down periods.
  • Respond and resolve problems identified by operators.
  • Communicate with oncoming shift of issues and concerns. Machine by machine walk through of the plant floor identifying potential problems.
  • Support engineering sample runs and provide floor support to Engineering.
  • Review Op report and direct Job setters in tool changes and sign off of job sets.
  • Actively participates in Health, Safety and Environmental activities to support a safe work environment.
  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record to ensure timely work completion.

Requirements

  • BSc/HND/ Diploma in mechanical /electrical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in same industry
  • Must have plastics/injection molding experience.
  • Must have knowledge of Quality Systems as relates to the job requirements.
  • Full time mould or injection maintenance experience
  • Must be familiar with working principles and blowing process of PET rotary blowing machines and linear machines
  • Ability to quickly determine the process analysis of defective PET bottles produced and current immediately
  • Familiar with the working principles and safety specifications of the air compressor system supporting the bottle blowing machine, and be able to maintain it independently
  • Familiar with RO, water treatment, filling, bottle machines and other equipment in the beverage industry
  • After sales instalment and commission of equipment with equipment manufacturers will be and added advantage.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for inspecting, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems of both injection and blow molding machines and equipment.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of repairs and maintenance works, safety, cost-effective.
Have oversight and leadership of shift electrical maintenance team, including organizing the shift activities to support the various manufacturing activities and general electrical related issues in the company.
Collaborate across lines (engineering maintenance & production stakeholders) and with other team members as required to maintain cohesive, responsive team work that achieve production targets.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on electrical system control equipment such as lighting, injection and blow machines, foiling machines, power supply, air compressors, pumps, servo motor and drive etc.
  • Inspects electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify faults, hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with NEC.
  • Improve daily electrical maintenance work to minimize machine breakdown and production downtime.
  • Maintain an up to date records related to work performed by the team including uncompleted task, leftover materials/spare parts and proper handover to the next shift.
  • Ensure that team abide by safety regulations during manufacturing activities, keeping equipment in check to avoid electrical hazards that could cause harm to other.
  • Communicate with other shift head and production supervisors to inform them about completed work, equipment faults and best maintenance techniques to implement for maximum performance.
  • Prioritize daily work orders according to their level of importance to meet deadline.
  • Implement a total planned preventive maintenance program which follows manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures as designed.
  • Perform any other assignment by unit head.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum academic qualification in National Diploma (Electrical/Electronics) from a recognized institution. City & Guilds (Engineering / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation).
  • 3-6 years electrical experience in production environment, preferably plastics industries.
  • Knowledge of Haitian and JagMohan machines is a plus.
  • A strong working knowledge of technical training, fault finding, troubleshooting techniques on Injection and Blow Molding or Oil processing Machines is a must.
  • Good communication (Written and Oral) skills.
  • High level of personal responsibility and accountability for results.
  • Good understanding of electrical, electronics and instrumentation processes.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, electronics and instrumentation processes.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize completing needs and meet deadlines.
