Workshop Service Engineer
Job Summary:
- Develop, implement, and maintain acquisition strategies for contracts and materials to ensure that contract strategies, tenders, contracts, and variations are in full compliance with Companies Policies and Procedures and to manage procurement, storage, bagging, and tagging of materials for maintenance in the Maintenance Workshop
Responsibilities for Workshop Service Engineer
- Prepares contract and procurement plan for Workshop with the various team leads and monitors implementation of the plan.
- Provide contracts and materials budget information as input to annual budget plan and budget performance monitoring for the Workshop
- Provide high-quality and timely feedback on suppliers’ documentation, schedule adherence, and some contract exposure (need to raise Early warnings, respond to technical requests for information, etc)
- Ensure coverage of Risk Assessment in accordance with HSE & Q Risk Management Guidelines for contractors
- Responsible for conducting Contract Performance Evaluation for Workshop Contracts
- Serves as the primary focal person for vendors and contractors’ correspondences in the workshop
- Organizes logistics plan for vendor visits: transport, accommodation, feeding, PPE, ID cards, Inductions etc.
- Support in the development and execution if all Contracts and Material Procurement plans for the execution of all maintenance activities within management-approved premises on Budgets, Durations, and Quality to meet Company production targets.
- Collate all required services and materials information for maintenance and obtain CDMB approval when required in line with the contract development plan and materials procurement plans.
- Raise materials requisition in SAP for events, follow up on approval, and develop materials traceability plan/tracking sheet for events.
- Support in the management of all workshop Materials Inventory and Obsolescence in line with company standards to ensure optimal usage and reduced inventory cost at all times.
- Coordinate weekly contracts and materials review meetings and participate in all activities leading to improvement in Workshop supply chain management.
- Coordinate the bagging and tagging of materials for workshop events.
- Identify competence gaps to support and develop the needs of both the Market Company and Dealer network.
- Conduct contracts and materials audits and follow up with recommendations for implementations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ethics on all contractual matters.
- Prepare draft contract documents by incorporating the effect of all tender bulletins, negotiations, clarifications, and qualifications accepted by the Corporation.
- Liaise with workshop customers and follow up with the provision of spares required for their equipment; Bag and tag materials provided for each piece of equipment.
- Maintain an active list of equipment waiting for spares with up-to-date status of the space sourcing and expediting process.
- Adhering to PPE and procedural requirements
Qualifications for Workshop Service Engineer
- A university degree in Finance Management, Contract or related field and a recognized professional finance qualification such as ACA.
- This coupled with a minimum of 5 years working experience with an Engineering, Maintenance or Project management team.
ALTERNATIVELY:
- A BSc in an engineering or technical subject with minimum of 3 years’ experience in a position with substantial contract and spares management responsibilities.
- 8 to 10 years post graduate experience in a Maintenance or Engineering position in the OIL and GAS industry, with minimum 5 years in a position with direct contract and spares management accountabilities.
