Store Officer
Job Description
- You are required tokeep stock of inventory and manage all operations in the store. From ordering, receiving to managing inventory, these professionals ensure safe custody of all store-related inventory.
- General knowledge of inventory management and store handling procedures.
Apart from this, a storekeeper performs various day-to-day activities:
- Manage all operations of the store
- Ensure goods receipt note (GRN) and Goods Issue Note (GIN) is issue timely and accurately
- Verify all goods arrived as per agreed purchase, delivery note, and agreed quantity have been received
- Keep records of items transferred to another location
- Maintain records of diesel purchase and consumption.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to ensure that essential items are always available.
- Conduct regular inspections of inventory to identify and remove any damaged or expired items and report to supervisor.
- Address issues related to inventory shortages, discrepancies, or damaged items promptly.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve the efficiency of the store-keeping process.
- Other duties that may be assigned to you by your Supervisor.
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc in any Social or Science related discipline
- 1-3 years of cognate work experience as Storekeeper
- Good communication, customer service and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with inventory management and optimization techniques
- High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability
- Integrity, professionalism and integrity
- Experience with farm operation will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
