Accountant / Finance Analyst
Job Summary:
As an Accountant/Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and contributing to the company’s financial health. Your responsibilities will include tracking and making loan and interest repayments, invoicing clients, managing various taxes (e.g., company income tax, WHT, VAT), vendor payments, and maintaining cash flow cycles
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately record financial transactions in the company’s accounting software.
- Monitor and manage loan and interest repayments, ensuring timely payments.
- Prepare invoices for clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Calculate, file, and ensure compliance with various taxes, including company income tax, WHT, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Review and process vendor invoices and payments in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and resolve payment-related inquiries.
- Monitor and analyze company cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and recommend strategies to optimize cash resources.
- Assist in financial analysis and reporting, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to analyze financial data for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accountant in an Oil and Gas/ Energy company is a must!.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and compliance.
