What you will do?

• As the Finance Manager at Migo, you will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• You will also provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and play a key role in driving financial efficiency and profitability.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Lead technical accounting; financial reporting; treasury management, and accounts payable functions
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, year-end financials in compliance with IFRS reporting standards
• Interface with third party accounting and tax advisory
• Oversee the posting, reconcilement, and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable and expense management
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization’s financial health
• Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to accounting and financial planning
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and timely completion of audits.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Work with risk and data science teams on our financials

Requiremnts
We’re looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Advanced Degree preferred.
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Proven experience (3+ years) in financial management roles, with a track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, accounting software, forecasting, and analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
