Radiation Safety Officer
Job Responsibilities
- Collation and prospecting list of radioactive importers and exports ( in other to get in touch with them by feeding them with the latest information about the company ).
- Maintain a log book of all transported radioactive source.
- Follow up and ensure that renewal TLD badges are done as at when due.
- Maintaining existing clients relationship with the company and generating business by seeking prospective clients through phone calls and emails
- Inspection to locate unsafe condition and unsafe practices in the company environs
- Ensuring the general safety of the company as a whole including the staffs, including the staffs properties and consignment
- Identifying safety environmental hazards arising from the company’s business and security threats to business as well as staff.
- To ensure good condition of shipments before delivery.
- To ensure risk assessment and conduct analysis of job hazards for work activities.
- Fulfilling safety requirements for work by ensuring checklist are maintained at site as per requirement
- Developing and updating safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that all safety procedures, processes, rules and policies are adhered and reported if any deviation.
- Investigating incidents, accidents, conducting root cause analysis and reporting accordingly.
- Maintaining accidents records and ensuring that corrective actions is been taken to avoid re-occurrence
- Advise and assist personal with regards to safety matters for all field of activities performed in all facilities.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees in any related field with 4 – 8 years relevant work experience.
