JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assist in liaising with concerned partners and authorities (including military and security officials) for EORE
  • Provide technical guide to EORE Instructors on how to consolidate and harmonize the Protection Monitoring Tool, IMSMA, referrals, EORE training, emergency protection assistance, and community-based protection programming across field sites, with emphases on improving program quality.
  • Participate in the mapping of existing EORE capacity, activities, and materials, identifying gaps and opportunities.
  • Assist in quality control on EORE Curriculum and Information Education and Communication (IEC) related materials in cooperation with contractors and partners
  • Liaise and organize meetings in affected communities with landowners, land users, affected communities, and other stakeholders.
  • Produce reports and provide on-the-job training to partners as required. 
  • Liaise and organize meetings with local authorities, including military and security officials.
  • Provide continuous support to ensure targeted capacity building of staff on Protection-related and project management skills with a specific focus on building the capacity of local staff.
  • Provide input for advocacy purposes and support the achievement of advocacy goals, as needed
  • Receive reports from EORE Instructors and record information to assist the Information Management Officer to maintain records of data and progress of work, and produce reports when required.
  • Participate in Monitoring and Evaluation and Quality Assurance of risk education activities conducted including field visits to targeted areas
  • Assist in other related duties as requested by the supervisor or senior management. 
  • Assist the coordination of Mine Action Sub-Working Group (MASWG) and participate in meetings of the Protection sector. As required, participate in Health, MHPSS, and Early Recovery & Livelihoods coordination meetings.
  • Monitoring project progress and creating project status reports for project managers and stakeholders
  • Assisting with resource scheduling so that team members have the resources they need to complete their tasks
  • Scheduling stakeholder meetings and facilitating communication between the project manager and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle
  • Managing project management documents such as the project plan, budget, schedule or scope statement, as directed by the project manager
  • Executing a variety of project management administrative tasks such as billing and bookkeeping
  • Support team members when implementing risk management strategies

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years working coordinating and managing humanitarian work
  • Working knowledge of project management software is an added advantage
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field 
  • Ability to work and make decisions without excessive managerial input 
  • Understanding of project management tools and software
  • Knowledge of the concepts related to project management and coordination

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Oversee and ensure daily financial management and accounting obligations are performed in accordance with CPWEI’s policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure that all accounting data is updated, reconciled and fully supported with backup documentation.
  • Ensure timely processing of staff payroll, allowances and other reimbursements. 
  • Monitor program and operational forecasting, establish and maintain cash controls to ensure supply of adequate funds.
  • Develop project budget, preparation, monitor, review and revise as required by the program coordinator as approved by the Executive Director 
  • Prepare budgets against actual analysis and report the variances to the Executive Director.
  • Provide financial status of project expenses and budget information on a Monthly basis or as when required by the Executive Director. 
  • Proactive, resourceful, solutions oriented and results-oriented.
  • Conduct internal audits on a monthly basis for this project to ensure accurate documentation in accordance with donor requirements.
  • Lead in managing the project audit process with External Auditors ensuring smooth audit and providing all documents required by Auditors as and when needed.
  • Handle Human resources functions such as payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and minimize risk of fraud or financial loss.
  • Supervise administrative staff and ensure smooth daily operations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of first degree or higher degree qualification in finance, business, accounting or other relevant field; professional qualification in Accounting desired.
  • 4 years+ of progressive financial management experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong accounting skills and experience including management of the general ledger, journal entries, payroll, payables and balance sheet.
  • Demonstrated experience and skill with budget preparation and analysis, financial reporting
  • Preparation, presentation, and the proven ability to translate technical financial data into informative reports.
  • Strong analytical, decision making and strategic planning skills with the ability to articulate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Knowledge of local law in taxation and local regulatory reporting procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Vision), Web Conferencing Applications.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan ahead, and manage a complex and diverse workload with tight deadlines.
  • Experience of donor funded projects guidelines including UN, USAID, EU etc. is an added advantage
