Stock / Inventory Officer (Shoe manufacturer Sector)
Job Requirements
- Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed.
- Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices.
- Liaising and negotiating with vendors and suppliers to ensure the quality of stock purchases.
- Coordinating the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing.
- Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability.
- Tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock (OOS).
- Analyzing and reviewing supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.
- Generating purchase and pricing reports, supply chain analysis, and inventory management systems.
- Performing regular stock checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintaining and updating records of purchase orders, pricing reports, and inventory records.
- Counts, sorts and checks in incoming articles; verifies against requisitions, shipping notices or invoices; places articles on sales floor shelves or in the storeroom.
- Replenishes merchandise on shelves from storeroom stock; rotates merchandise and keeps it orderly and neat in appearance.
- Checks inventory periodically to determine reordering needs and verify with records; requisitions standard stock items, supplies or materials within established limits; notifies designated staff of fast moving items.
- Contact vendors to obtain information regarding shipping status of orders or special orders placed by department.
- Places or changes price tags on merchandise; places tags, markers or labels on shelves to identify stock.
- Packs and ships packages according to instructions using boxes, packing materials and sealing tape.
- Records or documents changes in inventory, mark-ups or markdowns of merchandise according to established procedures.
- Gathers requisitioned supplies, merchandise or materials and prepares for delivery or pick-up.
- Assists customers or others in locating needed merchandise, materials or supplies.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or similar preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in retail, warehousing, logistics, or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of inventory management software .
- Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices such as ABC analysis and cycle counting.
- Good analytical and logistical thinking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional collaboration and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
